On Saturday, October 29, Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle will co-host a free workshop on surveillance self-defense. The workshop will be open to the public, though particularly structured for activists supporting social movements.
Participants need not wield technical expertise to attend this session, which is geared towards regular smartphone and laptop users. EFF's Shahid Buttar will facilitate a teach-in and skill-share on surveillance, some immediate and practical steps you can take to protect your communications, and how to work with neighbors to inform surveillance policy at the state and local level.
LBS will also give a history and background on surveilance of Black grassroots activists in Baltimore.
Join us at the Real News Network Building, 231 Holliday St. Baltimore, MD 21202 to learn more about surveillance, how to protect your privacy and information security, and how you can help build the movement for digital rights wherever you live.
This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Light refreshments will be provided.
