The Internet is arguably the most disruptive technology of the last twenty five years, impacting nearly every aspect of society for the 2.7 billion people who have access. It has dramatically changed the way we interact with each other and consume resources in both our personal and professional lives. EFF will be speaking at a plenary dinner session "Leveraging the Disruptive Power of the Internet", which will explore the opportunities and challenges ahead in creating a safe and equitable Internet environment. What are the technologies and business models under development that will enable Internet access around the globe? And what will be the key platforms and policies necessary for a quality user experience and full participation in the knowledge economy?
