Delve into the topics of privacy, security, and surveillance in this all-day symposium co-presented by the San Jose Museum of Art and The Tech Museum of Innovation. Speakers will explore the relationship between personal freedom and public safety. The day's sessions will be split between the Tech Museum and the Museum of Art, and will also include tours of exhibits at both locations and lunch.
The morning session at The Tech, focusing on security and surveillance, will feature EFF Activist Nadia Kayyali, cyber security threat researcher Robin Stuart, artist Hasan Elahi, and Jennifer Granick, director of civil liberties at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford University, as well as a guided tour of The Tech’s new exhibit Cyber Detectives.
