On January 29 and 30, EFF senior staff attorney Hanni Fakhoury will give a keynote speech on surveillance, human rights, and the 13 Principles in Lima, Peru. The seminar is organized by Hiperderecho, Peru’s own digital rights advocacy group, Ojo Público, an organization devoted to investigative journalism and data journalism, and Hacks/Hackers Lima, a journalist and hacker collective working to shine a light on government actions and information. The meeting will also feature analysis and commentaries on rising surveillance issues in the country, as well as privacy and information security training for users.
